Azimuth Management Consulting (AMC) have recently completed the
Migration of c.600K policies from an in-house bespoke system ILBA
and another Life package to the CSC CLOAS Life and Pensions System.
AMC were fully responsible for the initiation, scoping, budgeting,
planning, and implementation of the project end to end.
|
| Azimuth Management Consulting were responsible for
: |
| |
| » Process design |
- Migration, testing, software enhancement
- Data mapping, transition, data cleaning
- Product definition and consolidation |
| |
| » Programme Structure |
| Design and implementation of the project structure along with
definition of project roles and responsibilities |
| |
| » Product Consolidation |
| In order to fit products from a bespoke system to a packaged
solution a level of product consolidation is required. This
needed strict process and audit controls and traceable decision
tracking mechanisms. |
| |
| » Data Mapping |
| Implementation of process and tools to support data mapping
and the translation of these mapping rules and decisions into
program specifications. |
| |
| » Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) |
| Design, build and test of the ETL programs. |
| |
| » Testing |
| The data mapping, ETLs and target systems had to be tested.
AMC designed, documented and implemented the test strategy and
resourced the test teams from a mix of internal and external
resources. |
| |
| » Project Control |
| Processes and tools were implemented to enable the project
office to monitor Budget Vs Actual and plan Vs deliverable.
|
| |
AMC also designed and implemented a full systems archive (for the
migrated policies) and decommissioned the source systems. This project
was implemented on time and within budget, with all interim milestones
being met. |

What Permanent TSB Chief Executive
Denis Casey says
"Azimuth Management Consulting Limited ("AMC")
were a key contributor to the success of Irish Life Retail's Horizon
business transformation programme. A key part of this programme was
the implementation of a new Life system and migration of the existing
book of business onto the new platform. AMC were responsible for the
migration aspect of the project (almost 600K policies from our two
existing legacy systems), along with the de-duplication of the client
database and the decommissioning of the old systems. AMC ran the project
from end-to-end, from the initial scoping and pricing, through the
partner/vendor evaluation process, selection and hire of the team,
build and test of the ETL software (used to migrate the policy and
client data), and eventual decommission of the old systems. The team
demonstrated outstanding commitment, attention to detail, technical
expertise and professionalism throughout the project.
Migration projects are notoriously complex and high risk and
I have no hesitation in saying that AMC's contribution was absolutely
critical to the successful completion of our migration."
